A photo essay by Rian Dundon, in response to the question “What’s the matter with San Francisco?” Dundon touches on some of the major broader themes of housing and transportation in an indirect way, while also acknowledging the fact that in some ways nothing is the matter. San Francisco is still a diverse, dynamic, incredibly interesting place to be to live to work to live. The day to day lives of most people are not affected by Google buses, techies, and the controversies blown out of proportion in the media. “We Out Here” is a portrait of people, as the slang saying which originated in San Francisco connotes, still out here, struggling to survive and thrive.
