Music starts and the students in a San Diego classroom begin to imitate the teacher’s movements, alternately moving and freezing at the teacher’s signals—this is an innovative language lesson that also emphasizes teamwork and comprehension. The Teaching Artist Project (TAP) implements arts instruction to help improve children’s literacy and social-emotional development.
